I lost 20 Kilos... so far

Hello!

Yes, based from the title, i lost 20 kilos since I started my Fitness Journey last August. This is not because of a fad or anything else, this is really a choice that I made to be healthier. Its also fun to look at your feet and not see your belly first :)


Im ok with my body actually, i just wanted to be better. As I said before, I was never raised thinking that im not good enough or that I had to conform to what society thinks is an acceptable body.

But now, since im getting older, I needed to take better care of myself. I dont have maintenance drugs or sickness or anything abnormal in my cholesterol, sugar etc. It was just really my choice, i dont want to wake up one day and feel so bad because i let myself go. 


So i decided to take the steps to become healthier. So what did I do? 


1. Better Choices - i love bread so much and I cant live without it. But finding out I had gluten intolerance made me, took a step back and create better food choices. I still eat bread, but I eat gluten free bread, if I cant find it, wheat bread. Its not easy finding gluten free bread in the Philippines so I make do with what I have. 


Or if you love potato chips, we have taro chips or rice crisps! 


2. Do not restrict anything from the diet - its true. Do not restrict because if you do, you crave it more. I indulge myself once in a while so I dont miss the taste/flavor. The key to it is: MODERATION. 


3. Work Out - I hated the gym so much before. I do not want to see people look at me and judge me. But now, I love the gym! I cant wait to go everytime! I sometimes count the hours at work to see when can I work out. If you dont have the luxury of going to the gym, workout at home. I started home workouts before I went to the gym. I bought kettle bells and resistance bands watched youtube and follow the lead!


4. Buy fun workout clothes -  I love fashion, and one of the things that motivates me to work out are my work out clothes! They are fun and girly. Find inspiration to motivate you to do more. 


5. Small frequent meals - This is my tried and tested step. I eat a lot! More than I ate before. But the portions are smaller and the healthier. 


6. YOU HAVE TO WANT IT. Because if you dont, you will not succeed.

There are no easy way out on this, no miracle juice or fatloss tablet. You have to work for it. 

Thats how I lost 20 kilos and hope to lose more. This will be a battle that I intend to win and a lifestyle that I love doing now. The picture you see now, is the goal. Where is my picture now? to be honest, I havent taken any. But I will update here later.
